It's nice to get to know you a bit more! :o) I love to read as well, it's one of my favorite things to do when I have down time.
I read lots on my recent trip as I spent lots of time on airplanes and in airports. I could be found most of the time nose-deep in the pages, tuning out the hustle and bustle around me. :o)
Nice to know you're posting lengthier text. It's good to know more about the lady who has the most beautiful bird photos.
I love Juncos. They come to my yard and feed after the snowfall too. And you're so right about how difficult it is to capture one just right. I find the same about male Cardinal because their beaks blend with their faces.
This photo is just gorgeous. You not only get great shots of birds, you also have the most stunning backgrounds. How do you manage that?
I like that you're writing, too, Kerri. Your photos "speak" to me, but it is nice to get to know a Blogger a bit better through what is written. I like to think of it as a photo/essay approach. Your junco has a sparkle in its eye!
I like getting to know you a little better and am pleased to see that you are a reader, too. I used to read much more before I began the blogging thing and it's one of the downfalls of it all.
I like your writing and like you I prefer reading to most movies. A book gives so much more depth. I have some favorites that I read over and over again over a period of years.
This is a beautiful photo of the junco, Kerri. I have tried, but the lighting hasn't been right. (My fault, really because i don't want to go outside for the right angle. Brrr!)
I like your junco better than mine! And, I'm pleased to get to know you a little better this year. I'm a reader too--perhaps not as much as you though.
He looks so pretty against the blue sky. I love reading too. I haven't been reading as much as I usually do this year. Been busy knitting for those babies!!
Kerri, nice photo of the junco. I have many of them too - on my patio where I feed the birds. they are always there!
I wanted to tell you that my mother, as well as myself loved Agatha Christy. I had 53 books of her's once. I sold them as a set at a garage sale. Sadly, I don't read much anymore.
dear Kerri, it is lovely to get to know you better. You are one of my favourite photographers and it is a real treat to get to know more about you. Little things like you having cream on your coffee in the morning - it's fun and it brings you closer, somehow!

Stunning Junco Kerri and great to see blue skies again over here as well. FAB.
I love dark-eyed juncos too. They are sweet birds.
Sounds like a great book. I take it you enjoy mysteries. ;-)
You caught the glint in the eye to perfection Kerri...
I love those authors as well! Have you read any mysteries by Deanna Raybourn? Her main character reminds me of Amelia... :)
His eye doesn't blend in here - wonderfully captured!
